Enyimba head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, expressed cautiousness about the formidable away record of Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.

With two wins and one loss in their three away fixtures, Tornadoes are scheduled to face Enyimba in Aba on Wednesday for a matchday seven NPFL game.

Ahead of the game, Olanrewaju emphasized that his team was fully prepared for the match.

“We will be mindful of Tornadoes away form, and having drawn at home last weekend, they will want to come to Aba for something,” Olanrewaju told the club’s media.

“But we would be ready for them because we want to get as many points as possible to keep the pressure at the top of the table.”

Abia Warriors Captain Hopeful Of Victory Over Nasarawa United

Abia Warriors captain Augustine Njoku conveyed the team’s determination to secure a victory against Nasarawa United in Lafia.

Following a 1-0 home victory over Kwara United last weekend, Njoku highlighted the team’s high spirits and their goal to capitalize on their previous success.

“The spirit in the camp is high; I believe we didn’t come here for a jamboree or play, we are here for the maximum points,” Njoku told the club’s media.

Currently positioned ninth in the NPFL table with eight points from six games, Abia Warriors are aiming to continue their momentum against Nasarawa at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16.

In contrast, Nasarawa United suffered a 3-0 defeat against Remo Stars in their last game.

Finidi George focuses on Players’ recovery

Rivers United’s technical adviser, Finidi George, disclosed the team’s strategy for the upcoming game against Shooting Stars.

With a focus on players’ rest and recovery after a lengthy trip to Katsina, Finidi emphasized the coaching crew’s commitment to ensuring the players are well-prepared for the upcoming encounter.

“We’ll plan carefully to ensure the boys recover properly after the two-day journey,” Finidi told Rivers United’s media.

“It’s not easy being on the road, but we’ll get them ready for Shooting Stars.”

Rivers United are set to face Shooting Stars in a midweek fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Thursday.
